My Stitching Preferences

1) How do you hold your fabric?
I like to use a small hoop and also hold it in my left hand, though it is easily tired to do so.

2) Floss licker?
Hmm, no, like a kitty?! LOL

3) How do you thread your needle?
Just thread it by using my eyes. I think it is better to use a threader.

4) What needle do you like best?
Any brand of them, #26 is the best.

5) Are you a needle loser?
No, I use a magnet to keep them up.

6) What fabric do you prefer to stitch on?
28ct Evenweave is the best, but linen to me is also another good try.

7) Bobbins or floss bags?
Bobbins, a chao to wind the threads on.

8) Are you a scissors collector?
Oh, no, one scissor is good enough. But I like to see others' collections, that's nice.

9) Do you do your own framing, and if so, do you lace or pin?
Yes, just pin it.

10) Are you a floss floozy?
I don't think so.

11) Silk?
I have not given myself a chance to try yet. Hope to try in future.

12) Railroader?
No, I think it's too time consuming. I'd rather leave a large margin and let the fabric loosen its weaves. Don't follow me, too lazy not to railroad.

13) Are you a pattern or designer snob?
I don't know, sometimes perhaps, it all depends on the patterns.

14) Do you get antsy when you give someone a stitched gift?
No, I like it very much. Seeing people to be happy to receive something I made will certainly make me be happy too.

15) Have you reached S.A.B.L.E.?
May I ask what is "S.A.B.L.E"?

16) Do you wash your projects?
Yes, wash them and iron them before framing them or making them further to become something I like.

Tutorial- How to make your own flower?

Firstly, you need to have the following materials:
a piece of colour paper
some knitting wool
lace
small pins
a stick with one end sharpened
a heart-shaped polyfoam
a small clay pot
paper punch

Step 1:
Use the paper punch to create flowery shapes with the colour paper
you will probably many of these little paper flowers

Step 2:
Pin these flowers onto the polyfoam

Step 3:
Pin them by their centre

Step 4:
Use as many flowers as you like to cover the polyfoam

Step 5:
Use the stick to be the stem of the flower

Step 6:
Use knitting wool to create a ball

Step 7:
Round the lace onto the clay pot and glue it tight

Step 8:
Put the wool ball into the pot,
you may consider to glue the ball tightly inside the pot

Step 9:
Let half of the ball be outside of the pot,
pretending the soil for our flower and
suitable for being a pin cushion as well

Step 10:
Push the stick (stem) inside the wool ball,
it is easy to fix it there and stand up like a real flower

Step 11:
You may place on your crafting table,
help store your pins while you are stitching and
help lighting up your feeling as you will always
have a blossoming flower around you.

Enjoy!
