Dim Sum

The happy faces inside the bamboo bowl are my favourite dim sum-- Siu Mia!
They are really nice food to me.

I made them for celebrating Miho in receipt of a wonderful award on cooking. She has made herself outstanding for the first winner up in a cooking competition. Her choice of dish was four very creative and innovative dumplings! I then thought of making rubber stamp with my favourite dim sum.

You see, the wording from the bottom is really true....just to have someone I would like to dine with, "wish you were here" to celebrate the special moment to you, and "wish you were here" to yum cha with me. Ha, ha, yum cha is certainly a social gathering in Hong Kong.

The background of this stamp is made of stamp pad like watermarks-- YUMMY!

Do you like it?

Joy

A friend of mine is upset lately,
she is in tears....
what can I say?
Only open a pair of good ears for you....

God grant me Serenity to accept things I cannot change,
God grant me Courage to change the things that I can,
and
the Wisdom to know the difference....

Coffee Time

We have been to Taiwan for a short trip last week.
We once deeply loved the delicious of Taiwanese local milk tea with pearl,
but this time we hardly found as many milk-tea stores as in the past,
instead,
we found so many coffee shops and cafes elsewhere.
People were enjoying their time in these wonderfully decorated coffee shops,
to have a cup of coffee, chat with friends or just be idle there for a tasty reading time.
We are so sorry that we are actually not coffee lovers,
but we still were attracted by the smell of coffee beans.
It is heard that coffee has a mysterious chemistry towards human beings,
like chocolates,
people who love coffee will become joyful when they sip a cup of coffee.
Wow, we could not imagine that internal feeling.
After the trip, I have another fresh feeling towards coffee,
so I made this set of rubber stamps.

When there is a time one is drinking a cup of blue mountain,
he or she is going to have a blossoming heart.
To feel how true it is,
let's coffee!

Raindrops

RAINDROPS
by littlehands

When it is raining cats and dogs outside,

people ask for a sunshine,
when there is as sunny as no clouds in the sky,

people miss raindrops and sigh;
do not ask me why,
I can never tell you the reason behind.
Just want to say something with a great mind:
try to learn to be satisfied
to always smile,
not to cry,
because you have already got those precious things which cannot buy!
P.S.
Ha, you have just read a silly poem written by littlehands,
actually I want to share the great philosophy I recently discovered,
hope you would understand what I try to say! Ha, ha!

This set of rubber stamps was made in the rainy days,
however they give me a second thought on a sunny day like today.
Share with you all~~

Happy Birthday to Yuko

Wish you have a wonderful birthday this year!

As earlier as in the middle of August,
I was busy to prepare a birthday gift to Yuko!
Of course, that should be something handmade and
pretty and useful I think.
I originally planned to make her a needle book,
however, I discovered one day that she has already had a
wonderful one from her Japanese friend,
so I just changed my mind!
A NEEDLE PARK, a needle park was my second idea!
I guess most of you know what a "needle park" is, right?

Yes, you are correct, a place for parking the threaded needles
you need at one time and one place for convenience.

I deliberately made her name on the park because
this was tailor-made for her!
Hey, you know, there is a trick....
hee heeee....
Guess what?

Something is hidden behind her name....

On the left hand side, there is a lace thread,
it could be pulled towards the left hand side....

A BIRTHDAY WISH to Yuko....

As long as the felt being pulled out, the letters will be disappeared,
and the birthday wish will be revealed....

You see, I stamped the my wish there inside....

Wow, HAPPY STITCHING, Yuko,
I know you like stitching and this is my first birthday wish to you!

I added a pin cushion with her initial on it,
just for her to pin the needle currently using for her
to take a rest while stitching for a long time!
I really hope that the needle park will be of a good help to you,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, my friend;
hope you would like it!

A Flower to You

After I started blogging with SINA in English,
I am too surprised to receive an email from a new friend--
Aniza!
She told me that she liked my handmade stamps
but it is quite hard to read in Chinese.
Ooh, yes, my English blog here really gave her a helping hand,
and she is able to enjoy reading my articles now.
It is so nice to receive her warm letter and comments for my handcrafts,
I think all of them are turning to my motivation
to continue my crafted projects.
Hey, Aniza, this is a flower I specially give to you--
to welcome a friend from a hot country!
