Resolutions

27, 28, 29, 30, 31…
After several blinks, 2007 will be a part of our history.
While the new year is coming around the corner,
it is the best time to talk about our future.
No, no, no, I am not a fortune teller, however,
I usually set up my own resolutions for guiding my steps in the next year.
Since a quite early time,
I’ve been setting my annual resolution in the beginning of a year.
I still remember the resolutions for the year of 2005,
everyone who knew my resolutions also praised my good points of view;
however, I was too busy and lazy to finish them all,
only 2 completed while 3 of them were outstanding.
At the beginning of Year 2006,
I still hoped that I could finish the rest of all,
so I made myself another resolution with these three outstanding ones.
Unluckily, I could only finish 1 after putting much effort to get it attained.
Perhaps, I was scared by setting any goals and resolutions then,
I did not pre-set any for 2007.
Wow, 2007 was a very fruitful one and I consider it successful to me throughout the year.
I have made a lot of DIY stuff to myself and my friends,
not only they were happy, even I was very happy at all.
For one thing, I have made something from my passion on stitching and crafting;
my DIY things have been continuously admired by all of the fans during the year;
and when I know that they are happy, I am more than happy to know it.
There are several days left for 2007,
thus, we all will soon enter a new year,
what are my resolutions then?
Hmm,
I am too busy to decide them at this moment,
so I must leave it blank right now,
let’s see the result by the end of next year!

Boxing Day

This year is a really different one to me,
I have received surprises much earlier than usual,
and the presents I received are beyond my expectation.
Talking on these surprises,
I must mention two of my friends- Miho and Yuko.
Miho’s present is a gift bottle,
it is a real message bottle waving up and down from US to Hong Kong,
it is full of US taste and lovely messages.
Thank you, Miho, for a long-journey present.

Yuko, she is a talented lady indeed.
Your presents mean so much to me ~~~
because I can feel your effort and wishes put onto every item inside the envelope;
you know, I have to hold it tight to bring it home when I got it from the mail box,
because it was a very large envelope.
She put so many items inside:
a set of beautifully DIY coasters made by herself especially for Christmas time,

some Japanese snacks she thinks good and would like to share with me,

a ZAKKA magazine because she knows that it must be useful for me when I have moved to a new flat;

some stamps as she knows I like stamping as well;

some small ornaments for DIY stuff;

a wonderful Christmas card;

her pretty and clever packaging of each item which I like so much;

and all her ideas placed into the present.
I really appreciate that she has put so many nice thoughts into the gift,
Yuko, it is very sweet and I have a wonderful Christmas with all the things you gave me.

This year, my brother also gave me a present
which I didn’t expect;

he has given me a box of huge rubbers.
What for?
Ooh, you must know it before I tell you.
Sum, I know that it was originally your idea to send me rubbers for making stamps,
thank you very much and I understand my brother would not be as thoughtful as you.

And, finally, I have a perfect bite on Samuel’s gift this year.
He knew that I have changed my taste from my favourite Tiramisu to Blueberry Cheese Cake.
One night, he brought me a different way back home not following the usual track,
he suddenly entered a Panash bakery

and took away together with him a large carton box,
I have never thought of what was inside that box—
a blueberry cheese cake.

We then rushed back home and have a try.
Though it was not as cold as what we have inside restaurant,
it is still delicious and tasty.
This is a nice treat to me, thank you my dearest.

All of the presents I received are too precious to me,
I will keep them in my heart.

But So Warm Here

Dunnnnnnnnn (music) ……………………
these are what I made for my friends for this Christmas!

One day,
I was surfing on the internet and saw that someone made chocolate as a gift to new born baby.
I was delighted and thought of that—
this shall be a very good idea to send my friends chocolates this Christmas.
What a pity that Littlehands is not good in cooking and desert making,
so I have bought this ready-made chocolate nuggets for DIY the gift.
However, it is somehow dangerous to put bare chocolate nuggets into the envelope and send them out;
I am afraid all the chocolates melted during several shipping days to overseas countries.
Then, I have decided to wrap a box to hold the chocolates,
so that they would have a better place and better appearance when they arrive to the recipients.
I added the paper ornaments I found on bookscrapping magazine
and some decorations made by me with paper punches,
then my own brand “HimMes” chocolates is born.
Ha, ha, ha,
Littlehands’ chocolate factory has been well done for this order before the Christmas
and its production line would probably be suspended until the next memorable occasion!
I really wish my DIY chocolates bring you,
my dearest friends,
a warm, blissful and unforgettable Christmas,

and wish all the one reading my blog a Merry and Delightful Christmas; and
all the one in the world a Happy New Year!

It's Cold Outside

Preparing Christmas Gifts

I am preparing Christmas gifts to my friends who have given me lots of support during the year.
Almost every year,
I have a thought that Christmas time is the best time to thank all the ones who have been kind to me;
so even in busy days,
I still think of preparing Christmas gifts or cards to my friends, sometimes just an e-card though.
This year is a bit different,
I met many new friends whom have left me messages, emails, letters, presents, surprises and so on which made me feel happy all the times.
So, this year is a busy year to me,
because I have to be hurry up to prepare DIY gifts for them.
Hey, this is what I made for them,
See~~

Oh, can't see the whole stuff?!
Yes, it is because I want to keep it secret until my friends have received them.
This is in fact of my own brand—
HimMes.
Why not Hermes?
Oh, I am sorry that I am afraid I can't afford to send gifts from our famous Hermes to all of the best friends;
so I made “HimMes” instead.
HimMes actually means (definition by Littlehands)--
"Him"(=Jesus Christ) + "Me"(=you, the recipient) + "s"(=many blessings),
so I think the brand tells my friend that our Lord is to be with you with so many blessings in all the days around the year, a good wish indeed.
Do you think my DIY brand is better than the real famous brand, my friends?
Ha, ha, ha~~~~
I will certainly let you know the secret present around Christmas times,
So stay tuned.

SBBC- 2008

Insipred by my friend - Yuko,
I have participated the Stitching Bloggers Birthday Club.
Actually this is my very first time to join a Club with lots of participants from all over the world;
and this is only my second time to join a stitched pieces exchange programme.

Yes, the SBBC is an activity like exchange programme,
however, it is of great fun.
It is because you would never know who is your partner.
What is it?
Hmm, after my registration to take part,
the host will draw lots for assigning a partner secretly to all the participants;
so when you know who is your partner,
you have to stitch him/ her something and send to him/ her before his/ her B-day.
But, you would never know who will send you a gift on your birthday instead before you receive it.
We have to keep secret and don't tell my partner I am the sender.
That's great, right?
When it was the time I was waiting for the name of my partner,
I was so excited and checked my email many times everyday (forgetting the time difference!),
just looked for the information of my partner.

Now, I know that,
and I must say I can't wait but immediately view her blog for

finding out what she is interested in.
And I must work hard for it,
after I finished my Christmas gifts to my friends.
Anyway, it is so nice to join the group,
and it should be great to know others living in overseas countries,
for a long period of a full year.
Most importantly,
thank you very much for Edgar's (the host of the Club) effort!
You did a very good job and we all enjoy your arrangement, I believe!

How are you, my friends?

How are you?
It has been a month that I haven't updated my blog here.
It is because I have been busy with my
moving to our new home.
After almost a month hardwork,
we are still trying to adapt to a new environment,
and trying our best to tidy up things.
We have our new neighbour as well,
a foreigner family including a couple, a son and a daughter,
they have just moved in one day later than us,
that is very good to have westerners to be our neighbours,
perhaps,
we may exchange our views on cross stitching....
Ha, ha, ha,
just always think that foreigners may love cross stitching and handcrafting
more than local Hong Kong people do.
When everything is ready,
I shall post more things for you to read and view.
If you have missed me for sometimes,
thank you very much, I'm fine.
I really hope that someone did here.
See you!
